What is the Montessori method of education?
The Montessori method is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. It emphasizes independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development. Children learn through hands-on exploration with specially designed materials in a carefully prepared environment.
What are your operating hours and calendar?
Our Toddler Program operates Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The Primary Program runs Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We follow a standard academic calendar with breaks for major holidays, winter break, and summer vacation. Extended care options are available for working parents.
What is your admission process?
Our admission process begins with a campus tour where you can observe our classrooms and meet our teachers. Following the tour, you’ll complete an application form. We then schedule a parent interview and a play-based assessment for your child. Once accepted, we work with you on a smooth transition plan tailored to your child’s needs.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
We provide healthy, nutritious snacks during morning and afternoon sessions. For our full-day Primary Program, families have the option to bring packed lunches or subscribe to our hot lunch program featuring organic, locally-sourced ingredients. All meals accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
How do you handle discipline and behavior management?
We use positive discipline techniques rooted in Montessori principles. Our approach focuses on teaching self-regulation, respect, and problem-solving skills rather than punishment. Teachers guide children toward understanding the consequences of their actions and making better choices through natural and logical consequences.
What is your teacher-to-student ratio?
We maintain small class sizes to ensure quality individual attention. Our Toddler Program has a 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio, and our Primary Program maintains a 1:10 ratio. Each classroom also has an assistant teacher, providing additional support and supervision.
